Very nice! I love the effect of the coffee and the contrast of the extreme light and dark. I wish there were closeups of the face because it looks detailed and it would be nice to see that.

Wow thanks for the comment! Its really nice when people write more than 'Nice' or 'Cute', and actually add something helpful in the critique. Yeah you're right about Degas, I never even though about him, if I had I would definitely have used charcoal!
i like this a lot, very free and open ended. inspiration pieces by other artists are always great thank you continue to do what you do excited to see what else you have i love your style of work.
this is beautiful. I love the color pallet...it has that classic feel to it...and the coffee stains adds a nice dimension.The brush strokes are just wonderful, I really like that worked look. I think it works well with the piece. Reminds me of Rembrandt's later work, some of his old self portraits.
